Hi, everybody. George flies solo this week to welcome Adam Bessie and Peter Glanting, the creative team behind the graphic novel Going Remote: A Teacher's Journey. Adam is an English professor teaching writing and literature in a California community college. He chronicled his experiences and emotions as the pandemic necessitated the beginning of quarantining in the spring of 2020. Peter provided the illustrations in this profoundly beautiful memoir. Adam is also a brain cancer survivor and his illness adds another layer of drama to the uncertainty surrounding the early weeks of the shutdown.
